As a seasoned luxury real estate agent since 1999, my goal is to help individuals and families with the acquisition and disposition of real estate assets to meet their personal and business financial needs and expectations, in a discreet, secure and professional manner. I have had the privilege and pleasure of practicing real estate in CA, NC and CO, and am grateful to call MT, and its bountiful amenities, home for several years. I am thankful for both the successful and diversified sales experience I have garnered in both the residential and developer arenas, in various economic and demographic environments. Whether it is helping a family find a new home or a Montana hunting and fishing ranch for sale or representing the community needs of a developer, I have had the fortune to experience much of what the real estate sales business has to offer. It is from this experience that my clients, both Buyers and Sellers, receive a breadth and depth of unparalleled, creative and strategic real estate sales knowledge. Most importantly though, this whole process and experience is about YOU! Your needs, goals, desires and expectations are paramount, and I appreciate the opportunity to earn your business. “Give me 1% of your confidence and I’ll earn the other 99%!”

Summer Berg grew up in the sprawling valley of Phoenix, Arizona, and was always fascinated by the growth and development occurring around her. She knew prior to attending law school that she would focus on luxury real estate because of her passion for smart and sound development. Summer was a Harlan Scholar of the Center for Real Estate Studies at New York Law where she was a law review editor and graduated magna cum laude. The international law firm Troutman Sanders was quick to hire Summer as a real estate associate, where she worked on everything from shopping center developments to complex financing structures of skyscrapers in NYC. After working several years as a real estate attorney in New York City, Summer moved to Aspen to join her husband, Erik, in 2010. While continuing to provide legal services through her Aspen law firm, she became a licensed real estate broker. Now Summer works closely with all the Real Estate Advisors and staff at Engel & Völkers Aspen to ensure all clients are receiving the best service when they buy, sell and lease properties in Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley. Her background in real estate law and her knowledge of every aspect of the transaction is invaluable to clients. Summer is a Board Member of the Buddy Program and mentors a little buddy every week. Summer is a founding member of both the Aspen Next Generation Advisory Commission and the Aspen Professional Mentorship Program. She is also a member of the Aspen Young Professionals Association as well as other real estate and legal organizations
Serving as an F-15 fighter pilot and decorated military officer for the US Air Force honed my leadership skills and unrelenting work ethic. In every real estate transaction, I bring comprehensive market knowledge and investor-level analysis I developed at the University of North Carolina’s MBA program. My extensive experience brokering residential and commercial properties throughout the Wood River Valley and beyond allows me to deliver exceptional service to every client. Originally from Mercer Island, Washington, I have lived in North Carolina, Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, and the United Kingdom. I now reside full time in Sun Valley, Idaho where I enjoy playing in the outdoors with my family–skiing, biking, hiking, and volunteering with Higher Ground, Sun Valley. In honor of my clients, I also commit a percentage of my commissions to national and local chapters of Special Olympics, Engel & Völkers’ proud charity partner. With an investor’s eye on the Idaho luxury real estate market and the ability to bring people together, I naturally excel in development projects and ranches. My commercial pilot’s license allows me to fly clients to remote properties and help them see potential from above. Whether it’s an investment property or a dream estate, I can turn any big-picture project into your next success.

Life is good for me because I make it good. When you choose the place where you want to live and you choose the perfect profession for yourself, it’s simple. And when all the other pieces of your life make you happy then it doesn’t get any better. That’s what I have made happen. When I wake up I know it is going to be a good day. I kiss my wife (who also happens to be my business partner), spend some time with our two young children, and walk to my office in the heart of Aspen. My days are filled with setting short and long-term goals, planning with the team, conferring with clients, keeping up with the latest about the local market, enjoying a collaborative lunch with a fellow broker, perhaps holding an open house or accompanying a client to a closing. You might say I am just having a typical business day but for me, no day is typical and no two days are alike, just as no two client relationships are alike. That is what makes the business as a luxury real estate agent exciting. Whether I am creating a film of a new listing, staging a home for viewing, negotiating the best deal I can for my client, making new connections or researching market trends, I always pay attention to the details while simultaneously keeping my eye on the big picture.

I began my real estate career in Baltimore, Maryland before I arrived at the Rocky Mountains. This is where I created “Real Estate with Horse Sense” and rented my first real estate office in downtown Aspen as Carol Dopkin Real Estate Inc. I operated my own company for 30 plus years in Colorado and have been a consistent top producer ever since. Now I am proud and excited to be a part of Engel and Völkers Aspen. In addition to my deep passion for being a luxury real estate agent, I am enhanced by my passion for horses. While riding on my first horse, Feather, through the countryside on McLain Flats of Aspen, I fell in love with the Valley and horses. That was many horses ago! Today, my barn at the Dopkin Ranch on McLain Flats, houses guest horses of show quality and young horses headed toward blue ribbon dreams. All of the horses work “hoof in hand “ with me to sell real estate. Often when clients come to see the horses, I remind them that my horses are working horses - THEY SELL REAL ESTATE! In addition to real estate and horses, I am passionate about giving back to this wonderful community. Presently I am a member and former President of the Roaring Fork Valley Horse Council, a nonprofit for the 'Creation, Preservation for a Sustainable, Generational Legacy Equestrian Community'. I also serve as President of the White Horse Springs Water District Board and the White Horse Springs Irrigation Group Board. These two boards serve the McLain Flats area to preserve and protect domestic and irrigation water. In addition I serve on the board of the Salvation Ditch, a major source of irrigation water to the Roaring Fork Valley. Serving on these water boards has given me the opportunity to become knowledgeable about water rights in Colorado, a unique skill that serves both my Buyers and Sellers. Water rights in Colorado are an important factor when buying or selling so a trusted advisor with this knowledge is a big advantage for clients. I live with my husband Buzz in McLain Flats home on Dopkin Ranch. Buzz is an entrepreneur, developer, home designer, pilot, classic car collector and artist. Our two sons, Richard and Robert Orman, grew up in Aspen with myself and Buzz. The Aspen Schools launched them on to top universities and careers in law and medicine. Experience, Passion, Integrity, Knowledge and Fun are my fundamentals in work and I look forward to meet Buyers and Sellers seeking excellence and a smooth trail to reaching success.

Since my entrance into the Jackson Hole luxury real estate market in 2004, I have served as the owner and principal of a growing real estate company, development project manager for luxury homes and communities, and a real estate agent. Before that, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Baylor University, and then spent a year working abroad in Italy, confusing Spanish with Italian. If you force me to speak either language... you might get a little of both. I try to live by the principal that "a good name is more desirable than great wealth". With over a decade of diverse experience in Jackson Hole real estate, I am well-prepared to help all clients fulfill their goals. Along with my wife (Becca) and three children, I enjoy all things Jackson Hole, from backcountry skiing and mountain biking to enjoying this vibrant community I am blessed to call home. I currently serve as President of the Teton Board of Realtors and am very active in the community as a recent graduate of the Leadership Jackson Hole program.

My approach as a luxury real estate agent is mindful persistence. I pride myself in communication skills, attention to detail, focus, and a sense of what will work for someone in a given situation to create unparalleled opportunities for all my clients. I combine the highest level of service combined with my personal connections and passion for eastern Idaho and Western Wyoming. Helping someone buy or sell their property in this area inspires me. Watching and listening to their excitement about a property, and then making that transaction a reality for them is a thrill helping my clients achieve their dream for the western lifestyle. I started my first company in 1994 less than a year after graduating from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. I have started 4 other companies and helped build WorldCast Anglers into the largest fly-fishing outfitter in the United States. I have pivoted from a 20-year, world-class fly-fishing career to a successful and growing real estate business. I specialize in ranch and recreational properties, and am licensed in Wyoming and Idaho.

For 30 years I have been an ambassador for my home town of Livingston, Montana. Over 30 years ago, I fell head over heels in love with a professional bull rider. This third-generation born and bred Montanan became my husband, Tony, who convinced me there was no better place on earth than Montana to stake our claim (he was right!). I was more or less born and raised in the barn on our family farm, which was Homesteaded in the mid 1800's, in rural South Dakota. For me, the connection with Montana's wide open spaces, ranching spirit, and rugged beauty was instant and life changing. Paradise Valley has been 'home' ever since. Our 'herd' includes three children, five grandchildren, several horses, and my Jersey milk cow, Meadow Muffin. When I am not in the office or out showing property, you'll find me in the barn. An avid rider, I actually cut my teeth in the brokerage business by buying my first team of horses as an eight-year old. My father, a Farmer and Auctioneer, nodded approvingly from the Block as I completed my first transaction. Real Estate is my full-time occupation and I specialize in high touch, client focused transactions. Covering southwest Montana representing Buyer and Sellers in investment properties, recreational parcels, ranches and everything in between. I have built a thriving business based on hard work and trust and can't imagine a more fulfilling career! It's all about representing our Last Best Place to the best of my ability when showing Montana estates as well as hunting and fishing ranches for sale.

I was born and raised in the Derby City, Louisville, KY and now live in the beautiful town of Bozeman with my wife Martha (married in 1980), children Katie, Miles and Patrick, and granddaughter Riley, 3. I was a broker in Telluride Colorado from 1982 until recently relocating to Montana to be closer to our children. I have worked in general contracting for many years before becoming a luxury real estate agent, building homes and commercial buildings throughout southwest Colorado, including Telluride and Durango. I have been a broker since 1985, and was the developer of Graysill and Lulu City in Telluride. In my leisure time, you'll find me enjoying skiing, fly-fishing, horses and hunting and entertaining family and friends with many stories of years passed as the Mayor of Telluride (86-88) and life in the great outdoors. I am an expert in farm and ranch as well as water rights, and I am always game to talk land.

I was born and spent the first 48 years of my life in Dallas, Tx where I attended Texas Tech and got my MBA at SMU. Eight years ago my wife and kids and I escaped 8 million of our closest friends and moved to Big Sky, Montana. Along with farm and ranch real estate, I also teach part-time at Montana State University. I am a ranch owner myself, and have built, run, and sold numerous businesses in my long career as a real estate advisor. This gives me a unique background in helping both buyers and sellers of farms and ranches navigate the complicated life decisions that we all have to face. Whether it is passing the ranch on, planning for eventual sale or finding the right property for your family, I want to help clients save time and money. Ranch transactions can be complicated and I can help insure you find the right property at the right price. I am well versed in mineral and water rights, wildlife management and other facets of owning a hunting and fishing ranch. I enjoy helping clients find what will likely be one of the best investments they will make from an emotional and financial perspective. I will talk ranches any day of the week, so feel free to give me a call!
