I was born and spent the first 48 years of my life in Dallas, Tx where I attended Texas Tech and got my MBA at SMU. Eight years ago my wife and kids and I escaped 8 million of our closest friends and moved to Big Sky, Montana. Along with farm and ranch real estate, I also teach part-time at Montana State University. I am a ranch owner myself, and have built, run, and sold numerous businesses in my long career as a real estate advisor. This gives me a unique background in helping both buyers and sellers of farms and ranches navigate the complicated life decisions that we all have to face. Summer Berg grew up in the sprawling valley of Phoenix, Arizona, and was always fascinated by the growth and development occurring around her. She knew prior to attending law school that she would focus on luxury real estate because of her passion for smart and sound development. Summer was a Harlan Scholar of the Center for Real Estate Studies at New York Law where she was a law review editor and graduated magna cum laude. Life is good for me because I make it good. When you choose the place where you want to live and you choose the perfect profession for yourself, it’s simple. And when all the other pieces of your life make you happy then it doesn’t get any better. That’s what I have made happen. When I wake up I know it is going to be a good day. I kiss my wife (who also happens to be my business partner), spend some time with our two young children, and walk to my office in the heart of Aspen. For 30 years I have been an ambassador for my home town of Livingston, Montana. Over 30 years ago, I fell head over heels in love with a professional bull rider. This third-generation born and bred Montanan became my husband, Tony, who convinced me there was no better place on earth than Montana to stake our claim (he was right!). I was more or less born and raised in the barn on our family farm, which was Homesteaded in the mid 1800's, in rural South Dakota. For me, the connection with Montana's wide open spaces, ranching spirit, and rugged beauty was instant and life changing. Paradise Valley has been 'home' ever since. Our 'herd' includes three children, five grandchildren, several horses, and my Jersey milk cow, Meadow Muffin. When I am not in the office or out showing property, you'll find me in the barn. An avid rider, I actually cut my teeth in the brokerage business by buying my first team of horses as an eight-year old. My father, a Farmer and Auctioneer, nodded approvingly from the Block as I completed my first transaction. I was born and raised in the Derby City, Louisville, KY and now live in the beautiful town of Bozeman with my wife Martha (married in 1980), children Katie, Miles and Patrick, and granddaughter Riley, 3. I was a broker in Telluride Colorado from 1982 until recently relocating to Montana to be closer to our children.
